Gambar Ketua Zon Kudat dengan Ketua-ketua Cawangan dan Pengawas-pengawas Perpustakaan Desa Negeri dan Persekutuan yang diambil di perkarangan depan Perpustakaan Cawangan Kudat sempena Mesyuarat Pertama Zon Kudat yang melibatkan daerah Kudat, Banggi, Matunggong, Kota Marudu, Pitas dan Kota Belud. Mesyuarat Zon Kudat ini diadakan sejurus selepas penubuhan zon-zon perkhidmatan perpustakaan yang terdiri dari Zon Kota Kinabalu, Zon Sandakan, Zon Tawau, Zon Keningau dan Zon Kudat.

PD Timbang Batu, Kota Marudu

This PD is under renovasion. Work had started yesterday. This PD will have a new look by end of this month. Hopefully it can start operating anytime in August 2008.

PDSI Suangpai (New Building)

This is the new look of PDSI Suangpai Kudat. Shifting to this new building had started last week. Latest by August, this village library will start it's services.

Landscaping

Doing some landscaping along the Jalan Lintas. Need to clear up the area before starting replanting of grass.





Planted this tree species around Kudat Library. This tree is popular around Kota Kinabalu and I observe some house owners also planted this tree in their backyard.

K-MAP Activitiy in Kota Belud District

A team of library staff went to SK Menunggui for the K-MAP activity. We started registrating new members from 0900am and finish at 12.40pm. All in all we manage to get 100+ new members for Kota Belud Branch Library.

Before we left we gave some souvenirs to the Guru Pusat Sumber and the school's headmaster.

A Visit From Tadika Kemas

Today, a group of students (23, two teachers and the student's mother (a few of them) visited Kudat Branch Library. They were shown around by Mr. Ismail Zainal Abidin who is the PR for Kudat Branch Library.

They were also entertained by this library's own clown. They spent time with him and before they went home, each one of them took photo with the clown.

Pitas Branch Library

A brief account of Pitas.
The population is more or less 30,000 with six secondary schools and 34 primary schools. This district have all the government agencies located within the town itself. Within a five kilometers radius are three secondary schools and nine primary schools.

This is the view from the windows of the first floor. Surrounding this location are the Tamu Ground, Pitas District Office, a secondary school and government quarters, all within walking distance (less then half a kilometer) to this proposed location for the new Pitas Branch Library.

K-MAP (Kota Marudu Branch Library Membership Drive)

We went to Kota Marudu Branch Library to assist them in their K-MAP activity. We manage to get 100+ new member for Kota Marudu Branch Library. We will be going there again next month different school.
